Tracy Corbett

Canelo have acquired four new heartwarming romances by Tracy Corbett

Commissioning editor Emily Bedford has acquired World English Language rights to a new three-book romance series plus one Christmas standalone by Tracy Corbett from Tina Betts at Andrew Mann Literary Agency in a four-book deal.

The series starts with Someone Like You, where mousy factory-worker Lilith Monroe reinvents herself on holiday as a risk-taking costumer designer extraordinaire when she meets gorgeous Will Taylor. What’s the harm in a few white lies when she’ll never see Will again? What Lily doesn’t count on is being hired by Will’s events company for a costume designer role that she’s definitely not qualified for…

Tracy grew up in Berkshire and now lives in Surrey where she can be found enjoying amateur dramatics when she’s not busy writing. She has published several romances previously, including The Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop.

Emily Bedford says: ‘I am so thrilled to be working with Tracy – her writing is fun, clever and emotional, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with her storytelling. Tracy’s characters are always wonderfully relatable and quirky, facing real adversity in a way that will tug at your heartstrings. Canelo’s Escape list is continuing to grow and we are ecstatic to add the incredibly talented Tracy to our number.’

Tracy Corbett says: ‘I’m hugely excited to have signed a four-book deal with Canelo Publishing. This is a real opportunity for me to develop my career further and achieve my dream of writing more stories. Any writer will tell you, the ideal scenario is to find an editor who shares your passion and vision and will help you make your writing as good as possible. I’m entirely confident I’ve found that in Emily Bedford, and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the team and work with everyone at Canelo to help make my books as successful as they can be.’

Tina Betts says: ‘I am delighted that Emily and the Canelo team are so enthusiastic about Tracy’s writing. Tracy’s romantic stories are full of humour and warmth, and she also beautifully captures the emotional bonds of family. I can’t wait for Someone Like You to be published this year and Canelo is the perfect home for Tracy’s books.’

Someone Like You will be published in April 2021, in ebook, with print to follow in June 2021. For more information please contact
