Bonnie Kistler

Canelo set to publish a gripping and fresh new thriller from Bonnie Kistler

Commissioning editor Leodora Darlington has acquired UK & Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to a new unputdownable thriller by Bonnie Kistler from Laura Williams at Greene & Heaton in a one-book deal.

Bonnie’s new breathtakingly good novel is titled Seven Minutes Later. In this edge-of-your-seat read, two women walk into a lift. When the doors open, one of them is dead. The survivor says it’s suicide, but how can we be sure she’s telling the truth when she might have reason for wanting the victim dead?

Bonnie Kistler is an American author. She received a degree in English literature from Bryn Mawr College and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and she practiced corporate litigation in Philadelphia before becoming a full-time novelist. She is the author of House on Fire, and, writing as Bonnie MacDougal, several other thrillers. She and her husband now divide their time between Florida and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Leodora Darlington says: ‘In Seven Minutes Later, Bonnie effortlessly blends the best elements of compelling psychological fiction and stand-out legal thrillers to create a mile-a-minute rollercoaster ride I simply didn’t want to disembark. If at any point you think you know what to expect around the next corner of this story, simply guess again. The opening chapters are amongst the most intriguing I’ve ever read and I simply can’t wait for this book to hit the shelves in 2022.’

Bonnie Kistler says: ‘I am thrilled to be working with Canelo. Although I’m an American, I have close family in the U.K., and all of us are overjoyed to see my book launched so well there. It’s been an absolute pleasure to work on this project with Leodora Darlington, who at the outset showed a keen understanding of and appreciation for my novel. I look forward to a happy collaboration.’

Seven Minutes Later will be published in February 2022, in simultaneous print and ebook formats. For more information please contact Elinor Fewster elinor@canelo.co
