Louise Cullen is a Publishing Director responsible for Canelo Crime and contemporary fiction, saga, romance and psychological suspense novels. She works with bestselling authors including Rachel Lynch and Marion Todd, and previously with novelists such as Michael Ridpath, Anne Holt and Holly Seddon. She continues to seek exciting voices and brilliant concepts for the Canelo Crime list.
Michael Bhaskar has worked on many acclaimed ebook, app and web projects including the app 80 Days and the series Ideas in Profile. He is also the author of The Content Machine and Curation: The power of selection in a world of excess. Michael is one of Canelo's co-founders and the Publishing Director.
Nick Barreto works where books and technology intersect. He’s managed and built apps, is an expert on ebook formats, metadata and workflows. He is committed to automating all the repetitive tasks to free up more time for the work that matters. Nick is one of Canelo's co-founders and the Operations Director.
Francesca Riccardi has worked in digital publishing for over ten years, starting off in the charity sector and moving in to trade in 2011. She has worked with authors including Holly Seddon, M. C. Beaton, Patrick Flanery and Cheryl Strayed and was a Bookseller Rising Star in 2017 for her work in digital sales. Francesca is Canelo's Sales and Marketing Director.
Felix Janosik is Canelo's Production Executive.
Micaela Cavaletto has a background in digital publishing, and she has worked in academic and trade sectors. She is passionate about ebooks, coding and new technologies. Micaela is Canelo’s Production Manager.
Kit Nevile is Canelo's Assistant Editor, looking particularly at thrillers, horror, and action/adventure books. He has previous experience at Persephone Books and whitefox publishing services, both in an editorial role.
Siân Heap is Canelo's Assistant Editor, looking particularly at saga, romance and crime books. She has previous experience at Hodder & Stoughton and ed public relations, and is also a former Waterstones bookseller.
Emily Bedford is Senior Commissioning Editor at Canelo. She is looking to publish contemporary fiction, with an eye on romance and historical fiction in particular. She has previously worked at Bloomsbury as well as Taylor & Francis in editorial roles.
Claudine Sagoe is Canelo's Sales Manager (Digital and Export). She has previously worked at Jessica Kingsley Publishers and Titan, and is passionate about helping readers in the UK and beyond discover new authors and books.
Craig Lye is an editor with a background in historical fiction, having previously worked at Weidenfeld & Nicolson and Orion on authors including Ben Kane, Christian Cameron and Simon Turney, among others. At Canelo he is seeking historical, thriller and action/adventure titles. Craig is a Commissioning Editor at Canelo.
A digital marketing specialist, Nicola Piggott has worked in the arts and entertainment industry for over 15 years. She has worked on a number of highly successful book-to-film adaptations including Ian McEwan’s bestselling ‘On Chesil Beach’ and R.J Palacio’s ‘Wonder’. Nicola is Canelo’s Senior Marketing Manager.
Konrad Kirkham is the Production & Logistics Manager at Canelo. He has years of print experience, at Pan Macmillan, Walker Books and Penguin Random House, producing books across most formats, both in adult fiction/non-fiction and children's publishing. He's passionate about the print side of publishing, and hasn't missed an opportunity to go and visit a book printer.
Elinor Fewster is Canelo’s Head of Publicity and has over a decade of experience of working in the communications industry. She has previously held roles at publishers including HarperCollins, Simon and Schuster and Pan Macmillan and managed campaigns for authors including Santa Montefiore, Lindsey Kelk, Chris Carter, Johnny Vegas, and David Bailey.
Thanhmai Bui-Van is Canelo's Paperback Sales Manager. She's had sales roles at Oneworld, Titan and Perseus Books and has worked with a number of bestselling authors including Paul Beatty, Tayari Jones, Will Dean and Peter Wohlleben to name but a few.
