Romance in the Court 2017
May 30, 2017
Last week a few members of our team attended the Romance in the Court event held at Goldsboro books, and they had a blast!
The event, which was well attended by authors, publishing professionals and book lovers alike, is run by David Headley who is the managing director of Goldsboro books and a literary agent. It is an evening for everyone working on romantic fiction to gather, have a drink - very much needed in the heat! - and catch up in a relaxed environment.
The setting for the event was lovely, with the heat subsiding to a comfortable 21 degrees, in Cecil Court just off Charing Cross Road, which incidentally inspired Diagon Alley in Harry Potter - little literary fact there!
Our Editorial Director, Louise, Managing Director, Iain and new Marketing & Publicity Executive, Ellie attended and mingled with some of the UK’s most prestigious romance novelists. Everyone had a lot of fun, discussing their latest books with a glass of ice cold prosecco and lots of smiles and laughter. It was great to see so many authors, agents and publishing industry people come together in support of the romance genre.
We can’t wait to attend the next court event at Goldsboro event, and we don’t have to wait long for! Crime in the Court is happening on the the 29th June with tickets on sale now. Well worth attending - we only hope the weather is just as lovely!
Thanks again to the wonderful staff at Goldsboro Books, and see you soon!
