Canelo has acquired three new swoon-worthy romances by Suzanne Snow set in the Lake District

Senior commissioning editor Emily Bedford has acquired World English Language rights to a new romance series by Suzanne Snow from Susan Yearwood at Susan Yearwood Agency in a three-book deal.

Set around holiday home Halesmere House, Suzanne’s new Love in the Lakes series will see a successful chef clashing with a landscape architect, as well as a wedding planner returning home to her first love, and a divorcée finding new hope with a playful tree surgeon. Starting with a Christmas novel, this new series will kick off with a festive punch.

Suzanne writes contemporary, romantic and uplifting fiction with a strong sense of setting and community connecting the lives of her characters. When she’s not writing or spending time with her family, she can usually be found in a garden or looking to the landscape around her for inspiration. Her debut novel, The Cottage of New Beginnings, was shortlisted for the RNA Joan Hessayon Award.

Emily Bedford says: ‘I am so happy to continue working with Suzanne, whose evocative and charming storytelling has already wowed tens of thousands of readers. I am always utterly transported by her writing, frequently tempted to pack up my life and move north in hopes of finding my own fairytale cottage, quirky neighbours and even a bit of romance.’
