Canelo capture three Crime thrillers from Max Luther

Commissioning Editor Kit Nevile has acquired World English Language rights to a debut Crime thriller series by Max Luther from Kate Barker at Kate Barker Literary Agency in a three-book deal.

Nowhere to Hide, taking place over a blistering 24-hour period, is the first book in the Alex Drayce series, following a private bodyguard drafted in by the National Crime Agency to protect one of their witnesses, on the run from the OCG she is imminently due to testify against. The series will follow Alex as he performs similarly dangerous and intense freelance security work, as he draws ever closer to the truth behind the death of a loved one.

As the son of a bookshop owner, Max Luther grew up immersed in literature, reading the likes of Roald Dahl and the Biggles books, before discovering crime fiction in adulthood. A lover of fast paced stories, whether on the screen or the page, he decided to try his hand at writing one of his own. Nowhere to Hide, a crime thriller starring private bodyguard Alex Drayce, is the first.

Nowhere to Hide will be published in October 2023, in ebook and mass market paperback, with a second book to follow in March 2024, and a third in August 2024.
